Spin off Guantanamo

This rotation looks good to my novice eye. It's just south of the east end of Cuba.

I don't see a surface rotation, I think you are letting the upper level motion of the clouds trick you into thinking of a surface rotation, also surface pressures are very high.

That's very normal for the winds to blow offshore in the mornings in the southern coast of eastern Cuba, as they are really shielded by the interior mountains from the usual easterly tropical trade winds, in the afternoons the wind blow onshore from the south by the seabreeze, believe me, I was born there, so I know its weather pattern very well.

Makes good sense. Also, the latest visible frames seem to show this nice looking thing going poof.

Ya, the one north of Hispaniola seems to have a definite spin.

The one off Hispaniola seems to be going poof, but, the one just north of Cuba is starting to look real interesting.
