I haven't seen anyone mention this circulation, does appear after the initial convection dies off and looks to be re-firing with convection. Would this not be the area of a low development that we saw with the NAM recently heading NW into the GOM?

That is a mid level vorticity center from the leftovers of a strong cluster of thunderstorms in that area this morning. The clouds you see are not thunderstorms and are altostratus/altocumulus clouds.gatorcane wrote:yes, there is quiet a spin there....what is it?
