Same here. It looks like it has exploded in the last hour or so.

I'd say they either hold it or bump it to 55 kt on the next advisory if it is clearly strengthening.

I'd give it a 30% chance of becoming a hurricane, but it needs to by tomorrow morning...I only see a weakening trend after that.

Keesler AFB in MS is where the squadron is stationed. While often times Miami is closer, that's just how things are. Occasionally you will see them flight out to Puerto Rico to fly a system in the Eastern Caribbean or east of the islands, but that is rare.

I'm not sure if this was due to Veryl, but when I left work in Atlantic City this evening, it was pretty breezy and getting rather cloudy. I know that the rain bands were FAR to the south, but I'm just wondering if we were getting a bit of Beryl's winds???

Bet so. It's not that far away and sucking in some...you'd expect NE or E winds, unless you're behind a front...

If anyone would like to follow along in there own copy of Google Earth, you can open this file. Can't promise timely updates, but it should get updated about the time I post my map in the main thread.

And a little feedback from anyone that tries it would be appreciated.

Your maps rock! The satellite overlay is awesome. I still need to load Google Earth again to see them off-net.
