I still like the wave out there in the deep tropics that emerged from Africa Sunday. Not a lot of convection, but it's still rotating, and in a big envelope at that - I look at the water vapor and I don't see all this dry air you guys are claiming is out there. Still think this one has a chance.

The TWOs don't mention every wave - only the ones that have at least a reasonable potential for development. So, there is a "read between the lines" aspect to all of this, IMO.

That's about it right now. GFS hasn't updated since yesterday on the cyclone phase page.

I agree, Patrick99. This wave definetly has potential.

I agree. I think once it gets closer to the islands it may quickly spin up. The question after that is does it have enough to become a TS? and where does it go?

It will probably continue a westward track which should move it into a favorable area for development.

The wave moved off Africa 36 hours ago and looked great, then it started to lose convection. I think once it gets to 55W it will probably explode baring no shear problems in the caribbean to rip it apart. Yes Patrick99 this has my attention.

No I'm pretty sure that things are a bit too turbulent for much to happen
and in the areas were the shear is low, theres tons of dry air..

but hey things change fast so who knows
im just tired of following these waves with no convection and almost no circulation..
