An ULL that has been moving from the west coast of Florida toward the west over the last few days. No problem tropically speaking!

It has really begun to spin in the last 24 hrs. or at least show more in the way of clouds/convection. It is expected to move into Nortern Mexico. right behind it coming off the FL peninsula is a tropical wave too. Both are expected to enhance the rain chances in TX over the weekend, but nothing in the way of a TC is expected out of either of them at this time.

It will most like produce some showers in notheastern Mexico and South Texas, but that will be all.

If this had had a bit more of the gulf to go at we may have seen a central core formingbut..alas!.. Mexico got in the way!! :(

It's a rather large ULL for the GOM, don't you think? And it's the "Bay of Campeche". :wink:

then storm warnings would be issued...not TC warnings...

First off, as noted above it's the BAY of Campeche and not Gulf and secondly, the disturbance shown on the satellite image is below the Isimuth of Tehuantepec and thus in the EPAC basin and not the BOC or GOM.
