well it's sustained winds were the highest

Bertha: 105mph
Fran: 115mph
Bonnie: 110mph
Dennis: 70mph
Floyd: 105mph

Floyd was the most destructive though, actually the most destructive in NC's history

Bertha: $270 Million
Fran: $3.2 Billion
Bonnie: $720 Million
Dennis: $157 Million
Floyd: $4.5 Billion
I know about floyd I was one of thoes who lost their home to him. Water was hre for a 11 days. Took us a year and half to rebiuld.
But the smell was so bad. We had hogs chickens turkeys ect... in the waters dead. Some times I can still smell it for just a sec. I know it is me but I do.
Once you smell the stinch of death it will never leave your memory...cant remember who said that though...
