I e-mailed the author of the story and as promised in her reply, a correction was printed/posted.
William Gray, who predicts the severity of hurricane seasons, is a professor at Colorado State University. He was mentioned in Tuesday's story on FSU's new model for predicting the power of hurricane seasons.
