Latter half of July. I would say between 15th and the 25th. I doubt we'll see anything in the next week, or two, with the current pattern in place.

Perhaps there won't be a B storm this year. There have been a few years when all was quiet.

I am going to say that the B storm will form sometime between July 8th and July 18th. I am leaning toward next Thursday (the 13th) as the probable date. I also think the storm will form in the Gulf.

There have been years with no B storm? So only one or no tropical activity? That's Interesting, something I did not know.

Not gonna happen this year. I say Beryl forms before the end of July, but Chris will be an August storm. As will Debby, Ernesto, Florence, Gordon, Helene...Isaac still sounds like a big one. Hopefully we'll be well into September by that point. I'd like to track a season that follows some sort of rules...but we all know once things pop they just don't stop.

I think the only time the "B" storm was not reached was before they named storms. I think the quietest ever season was something like 6 storms.

Gee I hope your wrong. A quite season (though I highly doubt that quite) would ruin Al Gore's morel. He might even have a hard time signing a company to distribute the DVD version of his documentary.

July 24th is when I leave for a week to go to Gatlinburg, TN for vacation. I will be way up in the beautiful smokey mountains and nothing can get me up there. So, maybe some action will be happening by the time I leave. My parents were schedule to leave on a HUGE vacation on August 29th the day Katrina hit and they had to cancel it at the very last minute. They did not get to go until April.
