I CANNOT believe this horse hockey, it's 0515 MST and I have "FROST!!" :o :o So much for my veggie gardens Can you BELIEVE this???? I won't know the exact damage to the gardens BUT..........if there's frost on the windshields :o BTW.....current temp, 34.5 :o

Well, there goes the leafs on the trees "Grrrrrr!" It just hit 32.8°, this happened in 2001, June 11th came around, temp hit 31°, every single leaf on every tree around town biffed it, it took till the last of July for the trees to put on new leafs and just 6 weeks later, they lost the leafs again!!!!

out of the dewpoint values when the dry air came in behind the ULL yesterday and when the winds dropped off... Some years ago, back around 1987-1988 or so, we had temperatures drop into the low 30's in the colder areas around Sierra Vista at the end of May and Willcox had a freez which hit the apple trees hard-this at 4500 ft elevation and 31.6N
Latitude. Up at your elevation of 7000 feet and above, freezes would be possible any month of the year. If your eye level reading was 32F then the reading close to the ground where the plants are would be 30F or colder which would take out tomatoes and Peppers. Higher up in the trees, the temperature may not have gone below freezing.

Well, the damage wasn't TOO bad, it did however nip quite a few flowers, peppers and eggplants, thank heavens I had enough foresight to leave the *Walls O' Water* on the biggest tomato vines and Jalapenos that had peppers on them, tonight, bedsheet time for the remaining survivors, time to *put them to bed* at dark LOL! It's got that *feeling* once again of a hard frost tonight, it's 1645 and the winds got a *nip* to it, sitting at 73° with a STIFF SW breeze of 17 gusting to 28.

Howdy Dennis Maybe the breeze will help tonight to keep away Mr. Frost.
Give it a week - then the siZZle will be back into the car interiors, garages,
on the pavement, steering wheels, metal lawn furniture, golf clubs....anything
that's outside. Get your oven mitts ready.

BTW, how's the trout fishing lately?? I feel a fishing trip coming up in a few
weeks or so,lol since I didn't get to dip the tip last year I saw your
catfish pix which were plentiful, but like those rainbow & brownies best.
Where are they hitting lately? (Usual places?)

I sure wouldnt mind that kind of cold. well I could do without the frost though..............Farmers dont need it either..............Hopefully that breeze wont die down and hold the temps up a little so you dont get the frost...........Good luck Dennis...
