Will we see TD#2 or Bill in atlantic?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Will we see TD#2 or Bill in atlantic?

#1 Postby cycloneye » Mon Jun 09, 2003 1:02 pm

Interesting this system so early in june in that part of the atlantic near africa. It is remarkable to see a system well organized in the east atlantic this early in the season but the tropics has surprises sometimes. The key for this system to develop or not will be the shear in the atlantic. If it stays at low latitude it well may bypass the strong shear to the north and then develop.Let's wait and see what will the future be for this system but regardless it develops or not this may be the trend towards an active CV season and that is what worries me here in Puerto Rico.

It is interesting to see something this early. It could be the year of flukes... who knows?

We will see a tropical depression at the most. Once the low hits 40W its history. The low is approaching TD status...but its hard to say whether or not the NHC will actually classify the low since it won't last very long.

but it is so far south i dont think it will last long. at least this may be an indication that the waves will hold together better than they did last season.
