Same here boca.
As a kid, I was really Amazed how he (Weaver the Weatherman) would write the weather stats and forecasts Backwards on a glass board.
I was also amazed again not too long ago when I saw him still doing the weather on TV. He was a very talented and a nice guy, I am sure he will be missed quite a bit,

I grew up with Weaver the Weatherman on Channel 4.
Used to watch him at 5:55 PM and always wondered how he wrote backwards!
He WAS the weather authority in South Florida back even as far as the early-mid 1960's when I was growing up.
He gave us the news on a 2:00 PM intermediate advisory that Hurricane Betsy, which had passed us; was making a loop back and would hit us. Long before the internet, cable, S2K.... we watched Weaver the Weatherman.
My thoughts are with his family.
We have lost a legend.
His loss follows not too long after another Channel 4 legend; Chuck Zink (known to us long timers as "Skipper Chuck"). Not weather related but those of us who grew up in So. Fl back then knew them both real well....

Wow, I didn't know that was one of his skills to write backwards.
We also have a longtime weatherman on Canadian tv that does the same exact thing and is known for this. Very respected and trustworthy in the Toronto market. His name is Dave Devall.
Dave Devall has been the weather presenter at CFTO-TV in Toronto, Canada since 1961. In addition to presenting regional weather, Dave presents the national weather on CTV's Newsnet. Dave's trademark is his unique ability to draw and spell backwards on his 'Weather Window'. This creative addition to his weather presentation has made Dave a favourite with his many viewers. Generations of weather fans have made Dave Devall an icon in Canadian weather forecasting.
So Dave Devall has distinguished company for sure.
