"13 times since 1851 there has been 2 tropical storms in the month of June" Nothing in my post said that there was NOT 3 strorms in a month. All the post stated was the above according to the records at Hurricane .com. So I don't believe that they are incorrect....


Maybe I should have explained more my words and I didn't mean to be rude. You were answering the question "Whats the record for most amount of tropical systems in the month of june?" and you answered 2 in 13 occasions according to hurricane.com. Therefore, I said "your information is wrong" which I meant to say was that the information you provided was wrong. No problem, we always learn something new!!!

That wave that just came off africa is not only huge, it's high. That means if the water temps were very warm there and no shear, moist air, ect, then that would form within 24 hours into a depression. That's not going to happen of course.

Well right now part of it is still over land and the typical thing that happens with these waves is that they go poof, disappate, or whatever you like to call it.

While we are currently watching our wave triplets right now across the basin, another very nice wave is getting ready to emerge off the African coast, and another one right after. Geeez.....just think if this pattern continues!

Wow, this is one pretty impressive start to this season; especially at this time! Anyways, that has been said alot already. Keep watching those waves.

And yeah storm, those things look pretty good right now.

A LARGE TROPICAL WAVE IS LOCATED ABOUT 1000 MILES EAST OF THE
SOUTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS. SHOWER ACTIVITY REMAINS DISORGANIZED AND NO SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH.

8am TWD
A TROPICAL WAVE IS ALONG 47W/48W SOUTH OF 16N MOVING WEST 15 KT DURING THE LAST 24 HOURS. THE PRECIPITATION WHICH WAS JUST EAST OF THIS WAVE SIX HOURS AGO REMAINS IN MORE OR LESS THE SAME LOCATION. THERE IS NO ONE DEFINITIVE AREA OF PRECIPITATION WHICH HAS BEEN ACCOMPANYING THIS WAVE IN ITS WESTWARD MOVEMENT.

Looks like shear going to tear this one up.

About this time last year I remember people discussing all these waves and stating what could happen if they continue. Although we did have the worst hurricane season ever we never had a CV System. I think Emily and possibly Irene were the only thing even close that formed in the eastern part of the atlantic. Is the set up this year more condusive for development out there this season than last? I belive we have less SAL This year?

Above is the Full Disk of Africa and part of the Atlantic.There is a bomb emerging West Africa.However it's June,Second generaly the waves that big diminuish the convection as soon it hits the water.

Is the Tutt supposed to be weak or strong this year and I'm talking about the tutt in the Eastern Caribbean.

Another fairly strong wave exiting Aftrica.Lets see how this one does.Big test of course is if it can get to the Caribbean still intact

I must say the wave heading into the islands is lacking in convection, but it make it all up in structure. I mean this thing looks like an August type wave axis. Fully amplified and Low level cyclonic turning...

there is definately low level turning on the visible loop, perhaps convection will increase as it passes thru the caribbean.
