What I find interesting about the wave in the middle Atlantic is the strong wind shift that is now taking place over buoy 41041. Showing 030 degree winds, which is almost NNE. In the deep tropics, this doesn't happen without help.

There's definitely a low or mid-level swirl around 12N 40W. But it's devoid of deep convection and the pressures are high like around 1015mb to 1016mb

There is a little spin at about 8N 32W that has caught my eye. It is not too big, but a vigourous little thing.

I guess this is going to be another sleepless week watching the tropics.

drezee,
Is that the same wave you were talking about in another post about the LLC? Just wondering.

I'm not trying to burst a bubble, but these waves look worse than they were yesterday.

I consider the bubble burst. Convection all across the basin seems to have died out as if someone threw a blanket over it. Time to relax, IMO...June looks like June again.

Though they might make a comeback like their cousin Alberto when it was disorganized.

Right now IMO that southern caribbean wave should be the next thing to look at.

If we get Beryl, it will likely be around where Alberto developed.

Are u guys talking about the wave right near central america or the one near cuba?

The one near central america is moving west, i dont think it will affect us and the one near cuba has lost some of its signature but ya it still is worth watching...

Your records are wrong; 1886, 1936, and 1968, all of these years had 3 storms in june!!!

Hurakan-
Hurricane.Com's records must be wrong, not mine...
Please show where there WAS NOT:
"13 times since 1851 there has been 2 tropical storms in the month of June" Nothing in my post said that there was NOT 3 strorms in a month. All the post stated was the above according to the records at Hurricane .com. So I don't believe that they are incorrect....
