grlevel 3 radar software

Does anyone have a link to this very useful software? Living in an area where a tropical system is impacting you, this program is most useful. It would be great if someone could post a link to it for people to download. I had it last season, but since then I have reformatted my computer, and I forgot to save the install file. Thanks in advance!

how much does the software cost, and how much to dowload the information?

I don't remember the cost....check the website. I think it's $79 and worth every penny. The information comes straight from the NWS so it's free. However, if you wish to have all the extras like I mentioned above, you can get a subsription for about $10 - $12 a month.

What graphics card do you have? You can probably get a relatively cheap one that supports Directx9 and shaders and can handle that smoothing for under $100 nowadays.

question does this radar or is there a radar that you can input your location and pinpoint exact conditions??? Like on channel 4 they can pin point a storm down to the street name?

it appears that the "now" 12/ 24 hour projections are inaccurate based on the repositiong of the center 90 min ago on that radar / track overlay

yes cpdaman...they are inaccurate. It's an old image. The new ones have updated on the software. That image up there is static.

As for tracks, that is not available on GR3 because of copyright reasons. You do have street level zooming though with very detailed maps.

...and for those on the road like me, it's also GPS compatible.

In addition to skysummit, I am a registered owner of the program. It is the best radar application available today, leaving its closet competitor in the dust. I'm not here to talk bad about them, I'm here to talk about how good GRLevel3 is. Worth the ~$80!!

I'd be interested in hearing this... I have GR3, and am trying out GR2AE (incredible for storm structure, etc), with 3D volumetric rendering. From what I've seen, GR3 is the best, fastest, and easiest-to-use radar program available for <$100. GIS, live GPS tracking, dynamic placefiles, etc.

As for street-level mapping -- Yes, you can do it. You must download the GIS Tigerfile Shapefiles first. After that, you can load the roads shapefiles, then you're able to do street-level mapping.

When you purchase the program, make sure you go to http://www.grlevelx.com/owners/viewforum.php?f=2 (you must sign up for that forum first) to download the latest version (GR3 1.1 Release Candidate 4). There are many additions in this version compared to v1.0 that you download when you try it out.

Speaking of dynamic placefiles, I have several that are free... Please see http://grlevel3.tornadocentral.com for my available placefiles (METARs, SPC watch boxes, etc).

It's obvious you never worked with the software then, or you're hear just to stir up trouble. Ask anyone who's ever used it and without a doubt it's the best that publicly available. I've owned every other application there is...and I mean EVERY. Nothing comes close. For the price that GR3 is sold for, you can't beat it.

Oh...and if there is better software, please share with us. I'm sure everyone would like to know.

Most of the people here know which software is best and I think its proven in the amount of purhcases the product has received.

Personally I think your comment was nothing but a troll post (and others think that as well) so its best for others reading this to ignore it and go with 99% of the rest of us.

Not plugging anyone nor am I bad mouthing anyone. I've had RADARLAB GIS by Weathertap for quite awhile and have just started using GRLevel 3. I am blown away by it and dropped the other. Of course if you don't know what your looking at and all you want is red, orange, yellow or green spots then you shouldn't use it watch the t.v it's cheaper.
