Sounds like the smart thing to do. our jobsite is busy today with getting rid of trash and debris that could potentially blow around and cause problems.

It has been so dry here that this is the first real rain that my 4 month old puppy has seen. It is pouring right now, can barely see the canal behind my house. He is trying to get the raindrops that are on the OUTSIDE of my french doors in my lanai.

We have had light rain with a few heavy showers pretty much solid since Sunday morning.. We have not recieved as much rain as forecasted but it's not over and were happy with anything.. We have good chances for more precip though the week and you can see it's still raining all the way in the Carribean from this system with the juice train headed north. It's really been a nice farmer's rain here thus far.. Light Rain 82F right now.. :D

Just had my first power outage. Lasted about 5 minutes. The swales in front of my house are already flooded. The freshwater canal behind my house is already rising. It is going to be a long day. I will take some pictures when he does it again. Stay safe HG all this is heading your way.

Thanks and I will sweetpea.

I went to the store over the weekend and bought extra water jugs, bread, canned foods, batteries etc. just in case we lose power. I have lots of candles too. Going to the pharmacy after work to pick up my refills.

Looks like on radar for tampa our constant rain is about to end. We should still receive scattered showers but I don't see much rain behind this band. Would there be more to come or was this really it? No wind at all where i am. Trees are calmer than on a regular day.

It is really weird that there are no strong winds at the coast right now. I would have thought these outer rainbands would have winds near 20-30mph with gusts to 50mph, but so far there are no reports of this. :?:

I was wondering the same thing, Stratus. Been waiting for the wind...thunder...anything all day. I have to say, I'll be a bit disappointed if this is all there is. Though I am happy for the rain.

I was thinking that too. Will we get it again when it spins around?

Sporadic rain now, with some thicker bands and that cell from Daytona heading our way. Figures right about the time i get off work and have to walk all the way to my car with no umbrella.

Here in Palatka, we have had a few drizzles and sprinkles. That's about it but it is a bit windy. Supposed to get worse by the morning.
