Distance/height is always measured in metres scientifically. You won't find feet used anywhere in any equations in meteorology and some of us (Such as myself) don't actually ever use these units so I have to convert to metres.

wind fiels is much mroe symmetric as those 50KT FL winds were in the SW quad

The windfield may be more symmetric, but that may be the result of slow weakening starting to take place soon. Many systems under these synoptics may form a symmetric windfield in response to a beginning of weakening.

Agreed - I can't see it getting above 65 knots (75 mph) unless the shear dissipates or it pulls a 180 and turns back over the Loop Current.
