Wow mx flght winds 50knt, 63knt now 68knt and climbing. Almost in the NE Quad.
Hmm would we reach 70 or 80knt by days end. That woudl put us at around hurricane status. Need that 80knt flight wind NE Quad. Alberto is a fighter. This thread i had 100% agreence with last night around 10pm than i woke up to that sat vie of convection. i was amazed. Never know what mother nature has for us. This year may very well be competing with last yr.

Yeah, a little ...
Don't get me wrong, it's still a sheared system. But as opposed to last night when the convection was far removed from the center, now it's at least adjacent to it.

It doesn't do much good to overhype anything. I wouldn't care less if I were in the path of Alberto. Not a big deal ! According to the NHC, this system is expected to remain a TS at landfall. They can look forward to some heavy rains, squalls and gusty winds. Just continue normal activities. They might as well go water skiing today

I think the title of this thread should be changed to: Time to Prepare for Alberto

That 68 knots was in the northeast quad. I'd be surprised if they found greater winds on this mission.
