Wow mx flght winds 50knt, 63knt now 68knt and climbing. Almost in the NE Quad. :) Hmm would we reach 70 or 80knt by days end. That woudl put us at around hurricane status. Need that 80knt flight wind NE Quad. Alberto is a fighter. This thread i had 100% agreence with last night around 10pm than i woke up to that sat vie of convection. i was amazed. Never know what mother nature has for us. This year may very well be competing with last yr.

Yeah, a little ...

Don't get me wrong, it's still a sheared system. But as opposed to last night when the convection was far removed from the center, now it's at least adjacent to it.

It doesn't do much good to overhype anything. I wouldn't care less if I were in the path of Alberto. Not a big deal ! According to the NHC, this system is expected to remain a TS at landfall. They can look forward to some heavy rains, squalls and gusty winds. Just continue normal activities. They might as well go water skiing today

I think the title of this thread should be changed to: Time to Prepare for Alberto

That 68 knots was in the northeast quad. I'd be surprised if they found greater winds on this mission.

Nope not on this mission but I would say by days end if this trend continues we would see Hurricane alberto at 75mph. But only if the current trend in strengthening continues. Alberto has been back and forth so who knows.

*Edited 74 knts just found on this mission. See the thread

take a last look at the LLC, it could be gone when u wake up

Bring on the rain! So far, it seems like just a rain event... I'm sorta surprised that there aren't that many spawned tornado/water spouts.

2.4 inches so far here in St Pete

Wow, who ever posted this thread shouldn't have. I mean come on, every time someone posts something like this, the system strengthens, and look what happened. Alberto strengthened =D

This is just plain annoying...either lock the thread, or change the title to, "Preparing for Alberto"

I recommend deleting the entire thread! ROFL (But I had to read it anyway after noting that hurricane warnings were posted for Florida Gulf Coast.) Everyone be safe!
