Noooo doubt, it is bad when the cable is more reliable than the power company!

Our lights flickered with the passsing of the last squall, really though I think the 50 hanging branches along the power lines just might have something to do with it...

This is a nice high res radar is you are a Viper fan, it is HD...

I just saw the weather channel is setup here in Tampa Bay... whew at least I know we won't have a storm now... :)

I'm gonna tune-up the genny, get a couple tanks of propane fill the freezer with ice. It's going to be a long season!

Sounds like FP&L. We lost power in Okeechobee if a bird pooped on the powerline it seemed. I thought I read somwhere that FPL was ramping up its service in preparation for this season?

Looks like Lakeland is getting hit with quite a string of squalls right now. Tampa/St. Pete could be in for some soon enough if the current trend continues.

Oddly enough, it is going on 5 a.m. and the squalls are moving so slowly here in St Pete that a squall when I took a snooze 3 hours ago had the radar showing it right on our doorstep yet here it is still right on our doorstep plus a a tiny bit. Still close but not pouring yet.
