Nothing up in PBC yet. Just marshmellow clouds and a nice 5-10 mph breeze. Looks like somethings coming soon though.

Yeah, this morning's weather was as usual calm, warm, and muggy. This afternoon it has become very breezy and very humid. We are definitely under this area's tropical airmass.

Can you shorten that link, Christy? It's a lot of scrolling to do. Thanks.

The weather is starting to change a bit up here just north of Tampa. Since about noon, the air has gotten very muggy and still. No wind at all at this point. High level clouds just started filling in the sky within the last hour or so. Its still somewhat sunny, but that will be changing by tonight/tomorrow I'm sure. Looking forward to some nice rain. :D

here in Davie it has become very windy and the sky has that tropic moister appearance but not a drip yet. Thought for sure we were going to get rain earlier but it just kept moving thru. Now we have alot of deep blue clouds coming our way, we will see.

Winds are starting to pick up in PBC now. I would guestimate around 10-15 mph gusts max, maybe. I'm sure the local TV mets are going to have a field day tonite and tomorrow...When they start to roll up their sleeves, watch out...

Question. Not much has been said about this so far by anyone (atleast that I've heard), but is there going to be any storm surge associated with this storm?

Here in Port St. Lucie it is 92 degrees, milky skies, wind 10 to 12 mph from SW, barometer 29.97 steady, and the humidiy is only 51% which seems realy strange as we should be seeing some tropical moisture. :?:

OD 42, with a TD, TS or even a H1-2, there is little to no concern about surge. I think you can rest easy about this one unless things change drastically which appears highly unlikely.

If it even holds together and stays on course, you'll get a lot of rain and some wind.

IMO,
Lynn

wow..Key west is currently reporting sustained winds of 31mph with gusts to 37mph! that is pretty strong for being in the very outer bands of this system. In fact...they are currently recieving winds just 4mph lower than the NHC says the system's strength is!

Those gust are pretty dangerous, even if this system makes landfall as a TS, Cane force gusts can still blow.
