Since the backgroud went to silver I had no problems. When we used to be dark blue all heck went loose.

Please note that this is a configurable option in each member's user profile. Click the profile link at the top and change the Board Type field to "SubRebel" to check this (I prefer the SubSilver)

Teehee. Bumping because this particular prediction came true. If the mods didn't lock each thread at 10 pages, we'd be on page 43 discussing Invest 90L.

Fun to read now, but since it's irrelevant, mods can lock this if y'all want.

It was hard getting into the threads for a few minutes there today. I was getting many "Can not open page" messages.

All we get is a choice between cold beer and hot coffee? Both go right through me.I'll be missing out with too many potty breaks :37:

The server might not overload, but there are no guarantees that I won't. :D

I think a combination of fear from last season, anticipation for this one, and a lot of new members (meteorology novices) is the reason for the insane amount of posts on these little wanna-be systems.

Now don't misunderstand me... there is nothing wrong with being new or not being a meteorologist. This is a place to learn. I do, however, think some need to take a step back, take a deep breath and learn a little about this game we call the tropics. :D

The first few storms of the season always cause an upheaval in posts. Look at the insane amount of posts from Arlene and Dennis last season. They have more posts than either Rita or Wilma, I might add.

With everyone freaking out over a possible TD or mild TS in June I think the boards will be in big trouble come September...

Also, if your on dial up or something slow, you can go to your profile and change the board style to "subRebel."

Board is running fine for me, even at 20 posts per page. Nice job.

Fully-dedicated server?
