This is really tough to have only 10 pages. I know there are some performance issues but it should be expanded at least some. In any event.. I look forward to the 18z runs to see if models change their tune at all. Seems like the key is the upper trough interacting with the yucatan low/trough... i also wonder where something could form then peel off to the northeast ahead of a mid-latitude trough. hmmm. lots of questions with this one.

yes benny thats what ive been sayin!the GFS is forcasting a trough to come down next week.

Parallel NAM (for what it is worth) shows a powerful low moving into the southern gulf of mexico.. headed NW:
