Here are pics from my back yard after Ivan passed. Notice all the leaves stripped off the trees, Before Ivan you could not see through the woods.

Got back to my house on the Westbank of New Orleans 5 days after the storm. Don't ask me how we got past all the roadblocks...

We were extremely lucky that our area didn't flood...

The morning after Charley our street, can you find the truck? lol
Image
Various trees knocked down on and around my block.
Image
Image
Image
This tree distroyed my back neighbors house they had to tear down and rebuild, you can only see about half of the massive oak, it split in 2. :(
Image
Someones trampoline took a long ride to get here.
Image
A few houses in the neighboorhood that where crushed. :(
Image
Image
Image
Our local play park.
Image
Billboard went down.
Image
Alot of these around where the tree fell and then just pulled up the "carpet" of grass.
Image

All of these were of my neighboorhood, and of Charley. Alot more damaged extended out for miles, much worse. Tons of trees gone. It was very hard to get around here for a week or so till trees could be cleared from the roads. This was way inland from where Charley made landfall and it still blows my mind what happened here. I have more of Jeane and Frances, but this(Charley) was the worst by far for Orlando.

Wow Otown I didn't realize how bad it was in orlando for Charlie. I guess it just goes to prove just because you live in the middle of florida you still need to take precautions and get ready for the storm just as the rest of us along the coast. Didn't Charlie still have an eye as it moved over orlando?

O Town, you took some amazing pictures of the Charley damage in Orlando. Every time I see those pictures it brings back all the memories of that night and the aftermath. I still can not believe how many oaks came down. The one thing I regret most (and you can see this by looking at my pictures above) is that I did not get more nice digital pictures of the damage. Instead I only took 2 or 3 digital shots and the rest is videotaped damage (thus most of my pics are low quality video stills). It would have been nice to be able to have a photo album of Charley damage pics. Your pictures, however, are awesome. I can even remember seeing some of those same exact crushed houses.
