I remember staying up all night watching wilma in the caribbean grow into a monster and watching the updates come from the hurricane hunters.

No. I rent a large sized apartment so they are responsible for plywood

Opal storm

I remember when Arlene was making landfall I was standing at the end of the pier on Pensacola Beach getting slammed in the face with waves and wind, can't believe it's been a year since then.

I hope everybody has a safe season this year and that the areas that were devestated during the past 2 years get a break, and the areas that have been lucky in the past 2 years are lucky again this year.

Hi Everyone:

Just wanted to stop in on June 1st to say hello and officially "welcome" the 2006 season. May we all stay safe and dry.

:D

Lynn

Yes, it does seem as if we are just recovering from Wilma. I feel as if I still haven't caught up on all my sleep from last year~

Working on that. Already got a place to stay if a storm threatens us. DH has to stay here but I am leaving with the girls. Have the plywood already pull out and laying in the garage. Generator is working. Insurance cards etc. Pictures of house, boat, cars, and personal belongings inside. I am ready but hoping for nothing!

haaaaa, saw you all on the news. The police eventually came and got you all off. Some were watching Arlene from the upper deck of CRABS on the beach.

I'll be sure to be prepare, not like any strong Hurricane's gonna make it up to the Dallas/Ft. Worth anytime soon. Even if it does, it'll weaken to a tropical storm, depression, or a wave.

The posts or stuff said are NOT an official forecast and my opinion alone. Please look to the NHC and NWS for official forecasts and products.

Model Runs Cheat Sheet:
GFS (5:30 AM/PM, 11:30 AM/PM)
HWRF, GFDL, UKMET, NAVGEM (6:30-8:00 AM/PM, 12:30-2:00 AM/PM)
ECMWF (1:45 AM/PM)
TCVN is a weighted averaged

Opinions my own.
