Wanted to update folks on the ever popular hurricane model maps for 2006.
Things crank up on June 1st. Rate for the entire year is $24.
If however, anyone is interested, one can register before June 4th for a whopping $20 for the entire year.
The site actually moved last January and seems faster. Everything remains free and ad-free 'cept the hurricane models which support the entire site's annual operating budget.
The CONUS Low track model maps remain free...helpful in looking downstream to see what is progged over North America. Link:

Several enhancements this year include WWA overlays on CONUS maps, more detailed error reports the ability to access maps for each individual model. Some new animated maps are available, Once things get going everything should update hourly. Ran some animated model map loops on Aletta...still tweaking but so far, so good.

Also working on a free rapid update pop-up with storm information, satellite, WV displayed in a window small enough to keep on the desktop without gobbling up alot of screen. Of course it links to the HurricaneCenter
