So far it's just a blob of convection. Lets wait 12 to 24 hours to see if the convection persists or dies off!!!

thats one impressive blob to say the least... fortunately it is close to shore and if anything comes of it it won't be strong

To me, it looks like an area of convection associated with a monsoonal surge.
