These are the types of systems that early season storms pop out of. Even though it's in a high shear environment, the shear is lessening as we speak and should be pretty favorable in this area....at last for a couple days or so.

Very true, and I am keeping an eye on it; however, the synoptics also dictate that this could fizzle just as easily or fail to develop significantly, if at all. However, if it separates just a bit more from the trough and slows a bit, I think the slight potential is there.

Could not be more untrue. Especially coming from Frank and this being the Houston market. If he felt that something was developing at the surface, he would jump on it.

I'm not indicating that there may not be something unfolding, but I have no doubt the Houston mets would jump on it ASAP.

Good point. That is another reason, on top of the synoptic setup, why I am not jumping that much on it.

I think it's to close to land to develope, but I'm no pro met. I'll wait another day before I start making predictions on development.
