Wind Shear Is Really Starting To Lessen

Wow....wind shear is really starting to let up across most of the Atlantic. It's actually beginning to look like hurricane season.

It certainly is starting to feel like Hurricane season! My mind has already transitioned from Severe mode to Tropical mode (which it will probably stay in until October), and I am ready to go for the first storm (whenever it decides to form)!

I know what you mean! I haven't even been checking the SPC outlooks like I used to on a daily basis.

same here. I used to check them at least twice a day, and now I have not even been to the SPC website in about a week!

Yea, shouldnt be long till we have our first storm. Who knows with the shear dying down along with the higher ssts. Maybe our first storm will be out near africa.

Yeah but the ITCZ is still pretty far south, so the waves are still winding up over South America instead of entering the Caribbean.

As you say, though, upper air conditions are definitely easing.

Sure is starting to look like hurricane season.If something were in the Caribbean it could definitely form into something tropical.

Wasn't it 2004 in which we didn't have one single storm until August? You never know...

Actually the first storm formed July 31st...Alex, but things then exploded after that. I do not believe the shear was this low early in 2004, however, so this years early season may be way worse.

I have a feeling we will see more Cape Verde storms this year.Last year they were non existent

Shear conditions are quite favorable across the carribean but will get very unfavorable to unfavorable in the next few days across florida and the gulf of mexico...
