Neutral conditions that are already in place are slowly beginning to deepen and establish as Pacific waters are warming...

In that picture the GOM looks cooler aswell as the caribbean.

What I meant was that they look cooler than earlier this month. I know they're warm but they've just cooled down a little. If you read my post thoroughly you can see that I didn't say "cold" or "cool".

wow...the texas coastline waters are already warm enough to support a Cat. 4 hurricane!

:uarrow: Oh boy,look how the North Atlantic is in terms of the anomalies,between 3-5c above normal.Meanwhile the MDR between Africa and the Lesser Antilles has warmed a bit since the last update last week.And on the other side of the coin the GOM has cooled a little.

That's an odd anomoly up there around Maritime Canada which is strange because it's been so cold and windy lately up this way.

The differences are that the water is way warmer than it was last year near Newfoundland, the GOM's warm waters stretch farther out, the Carib is cooler, and that the Central Atlantic including the Eastern Atlantic has cooled significantly.
