Only mid to upper 90s here.

Probably the only part of Florida that does not get a seabreeze.

Car thermometer has been hitting 99F most of the day.
Still wiring my LaCrosse WS2310, so no accurate temps other than that.

Janice,The warm temps are being felt mainly in northern Puerto Rico because of the ESE winds prevailing for many days in this month due to the position of the subtropical ridge. Those Eastsoutheast winds crash against the central mountains and when they pass them they go downslope causing the north coast where you and me are be like a scorcher.I hope that the Easterly trade winds come soon to aliviate the heat here.

Luis, we are having them here as well. At 7 a.m. this morning it was 87 and right now, 10:30ish p.m, it's still 81. I hope those trades come in too. I'm not sure, but I think some people think we are just complaining about the heat, whereas we are thinking...it's only May and it's this hot again...we're thinking weather to come (as you know).

Well, the heat was so hot yesterday that I could only work outside for about 15 minutes at a time. Salt would get in my eyes from sweating. John jumped in the pool and said it felt like bathwater. I think it is horribly hot outside for May.

:thermo: Right now it's 93*F with the heat index of *101F.That 93 number breaks the record for this date as *91 was the record temp.A combination of Southeast winds and some ash from the Soufriere are the factors for this presummer heat in Puerto Rico.
