Puerto Rico is so dry. We need a ton of rain. Half my yard is dirt.

Wish you luck on that one... while we certainly do NOT want any tropical activity around here for a while.. we are also in something of a drought, and it's not helping matters much.

I will say this iam watching a 1008 mb low south of western cuba which is forcast to move in a NW direction sometime late moday towards the southern gulf of mexico....This is were my concern is the HIGH that is currently there now is forcast to move out of the area in about 48 hours and a strong trough digging in from the rockies will influence whatever trys to develope in the gulf this week...i think everyone from florida to the texas coast should stay tune to their local weather this week.

Latest GFS runs push the low into the Central Gulf, stall it, and then shove it back toward the Florida Panhandle or big bend area by next Thurs/Fri. Could get interesting if shear is low enough.

Low making landfall next Fri. in Florida = http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod ... _114.shtml
