It's still and will remain until Jupiter, which I don't know how could happen, dissipates or it's destroyed.

wow...that pic of Tip up top cant be at its peak...it doesnt look as good as it would seem for that kind of massive beast

EDIT:nvm...i was searching it on google...kind of a poor image of it on there...lol

Ultimate Beast is in the eye of the beholder--and on the receiving end... at her peak Katrina was IMO as impressive as ANY GOM storm, the max winds weren't all that far apart, and Kat was much larger...to me (and doubtless Miss, W Alabama,) it will always be Katrina... to Texans---probably Carla, or the Galveston Storm, to So. Floridians... Andrew..to the Panhandle area--Opal... Ala/Fla area, Ivan.... all individual perspective.

And yes, officially, Tip was the ultimate tropical beast... at least "officially"... :wink:

Thank the good Lord the Atlantic basin probably (very probably) could never support a storm the size of Tip. It was and I think will stay the official "beast" of all tropical cyclones. Lets hope we never see another one like that.
