In I doubt the activity will hold off until August. Remember last year featured a Cat. 5 in July!

Exactly and with the GOM temps so warm and the shear should be gone by Mid-June a Hurricane before July doesn't seem so crazy.

That's a good point. Temperatures in the GOM at the moment are warmer than they were a year ago, which seems to indicate that when conditions become right, everything will go wrong.

Exactly so if we had 2 tropical storms in June last year with GOM temps warm. Then this year with GOM temps very warm we might have more than two tropical storms.

I think the GFS needs to calm down a little though if these forecasts do come true Florida will see alot of rain.

I can tell you right now, that wasn't a prediction it was more of a... people calm down it won't start heating up till august. I am almost certain that is what he meant.

It wasn't a prediction, and he can't defend himself right now because he is meeting with other members of storm2k at SeaWorld. Maybe you can ask him when he gets back.
