Im heading towards Pensacola (well , actually Brewton Alabama in a few weeks) and am anxious to see how much this area has recovered from Ivan and Dennis.
Wow...a little less than 600 days since I had the Hurricane Landfall Project Isuzu Rodeo parked in my side yard on October 2, 2004...crazyness...I no longer have the Isuzu...but I have the weather equipment off of it Hope you guys continue to recover well...

Mobile got reaaaaaaally lucky with Ivan. If it had gone in at Bayou la Batre like how it looked earlier in the afternoon, traveling due north at borderline 3/4 range... half of downtown would probably have been destroyed.
Edit: It's also about 600 days since I registered for this forum.
I wonder how far USS Alabama would get dragged north before scraping her bottom and settling/sinking in the shallows, if an intense hurricane would take that track and surge mobile bay.
Imagine a 35,000 ton battleship on the loose. Id imagine she would cut through the I10 span like a knife.
