HMMMMMMMMMMMM so thats why Louisiana is so hyped up on the open loop LNG terminals. They say that they will cool the waters around them greatly but they tend to kill many of the fish and wildlife that live in the area. Oh well thats the price of progress>

here we go again.
I'm not bashing anyone but I think it is pathetic that they focus on this when they know it wont work (I hope they know) When we could be learning about more important things like predicting significant changes in strength and eyewall replacement cycles and learning how to prevent more Katrina situations (which I wont go into)
By trying to artificially weaken hurricanes they are fighting a losing battle.Even if we could, the cost would be through the roof and we'd kill many native species that cant take such rapid drops in water temps. they need to just drop this idea and move and be realistic and focus on understanding hurricanes better so we can better protect lives.
