Can't remember which one it was but i think it was Rita that i heard from NOAA and NHC that Rita might of have had winds of as much as 20 mph winds higher then the sustain winds (well away from the center) but the thing is that there was only a small area with that 20 mph winds higher then the sustain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps. thats a real possibilibly

opps my bad i made the correction now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC HURRICANE DIET RITE HEADING FOR THE PEPSI COAST... DEADLY SURGES OF COKE ARE EXPECTED...

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 150MPH... WITH HIGHER OCTAVES. LITTLE DIGESTION IS EXPECTED BEFORE LANDFALL.

um, no she did not have sustained winds of 200 mph. Ever.

If that is even your question, if you're asking one.

no im not asking really im just say that the NHC and NOAA reported in a small area away from the center it whad winds of as high as 20mph!!!!!!!!!

im not sure if this was at the strongest point of the hurricane im just saying that it is possible that the hurricane was stronger at one point or other in it's strong life time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rita did NOT have 200MPH sustained winds. Gusts may have gotten to near 195MPH at it's peak intensity, but no SUSTAINED winds of 200MPH occurred, even at peak intensity. Have you ever heard of satellites, hurricanefloyd5?

If they even said that, they probably meant gusts.

Dennis now, eh? No, Dennis had neither a hugh, nor a huge storm surge in the Panhandle. I believe Navarre Beach got somewhere around 5-6 feet.
