and its not unsual either...I would rather them test now then end up blowing away a forecast during a landfalling Cat 4 because they didnt test...it is the off-season...

i will always remember 91L... not for what she did... rather for
what she could have done! and so so early in the 2006 season.

Are you serious? Or trolling...

Because if you are serious...you really need to hang around and read these threads with the intent of learning. As we have stated over and over...there was nothing she could have done! It was a TEST of the microwave products...it was NEVER a concern to anyone at the NHC or the NRL.

Did you read any of those posts that said it was a test (and that was confirmed by the NRL) and if so...did you just decide to disregard that bit of information...because frankly...the ONLY way you can make a statement like the one above is if you just decide to ignore the fact that it was a test and you wanted it to possibly be something it was not.

So...did you see those other posts that said it was a test? And if so....HOW oh HOW can you say a test had potential. It was a test on a cold core low...which BTW...has no potential at all.

Please let me know...because posts like this make my head explode unless I know the person is joking...if if you are...don't forget your /sarcasm tag

:D

Let me break this down for you:

If the NHC had not decided to TEST the microwave data...the invest would have never appeared on the NRL site and you probably would have never known about it...unless cold core extratropical lows and their associated cold fronts off the coast of the US intest you...because they don't interest the NHC...unless they want to test the data for the upcoming season.

Maybe...just maybe...you should trust the promets and GREAT amatuers mets we have on this board that 1) Said it was a test, 2) Said it would not come into the gulf even if it DID do something...which it wasn't...and 3) said it was a non-tropical system that would not develop.

If you know there are others that know more than you...maybe you should listen to them.

If you can't do that...it is going to be a LONG season for you. There are people who do this for a living that tried to tell you that this was a test.

If you are gunshy about a test...and won't listen to that...I cannot help you. That is something you have to deal with. Maybe you are one of those poeple that believes they know more than the doctor...and won't take the pills they are given...so...I can't help you.

All I can say is if you are freaking out over a test...you will be a nut case this season. This is a GREAT place to learn and my best advice for you is listen to the ,mets and the great amatuers we have on this board. IGNORE the HYPE (and you will learn who HYPES and who gives STABLE advice)...and listen to the good advice...and when the mets and amatuer mets say its a test or going east or toast (and don't listen to the people who know nothing)...listen to them...and DRIVE ON!

That is all. :D

Some people do things to themselves. When you read over and over again that something is a TEST...and then contempate what it could have been...that invites scutiny.

And that's a fact.

I know people are paranoid...but there is a point in time when you have to say "oh...it was a test? Oh...my bad."

That's what most people would do.

Amen AFM! Over the past couple years, I have learned TONS...but you have to be willing to learn, and listen to the pros. When I first came here and saw the graphics that were posted, I felt I this site was out of my league, but with lots of reading, studying and listening to the pros, I'm now able to read those graphics with confidence and know what's going on when looking at models and such. This is an outstanding site year round, but especially when hurricane season is upon us. With everything, you'll get it first here at S2K....not TWC, not your local news affialiates, not anywhere on the net...only here at S2K.
