Hopefully we can send to NHC, then they can take it to the WMO meeting next year. We'll see.

I don't see a reason to retire Emily, if Mexico didn't ask for retirement, then what is the reasoning behind it? It is their choice. BTW, a Cat 5 making landfall but producing no damage or death whatsoever, will not be retired, period. I recall that it is not how powerful a storm gets, it's how much damage and death it causes.

So I'm not going to sign the petition. But you all continue to do so, just voicing my opinion. :)

A petition with internet usernames is not going to be considered legal. On a real petition you need the persons real name and address. You would be wasting your time with this

I'm going to lock this thread for now unless the admins and other mods disagree with me.
