Indeed it is very strong for this time of year. By June 1st these things we'll become Cape Verde Hurricanes.

Typically we won't see anything in June as far as Cape Verde Storms.

We may see something in Late July or in August

Are dixiebreeze and CHRISTY the same person? I'm not being sarcastic, just wondering because the doom feeling just weighs me down on any of either one's posts. Maybe just being old means, why not enjoy the day and not look for horrors on the non-existant-as-yet horizon??
Sorry if this is not appropriate, but it's only April! We're having a beautiful day! Hope everyone else is as well.

Cane Train

#19 Postby jimvb » Thu Apr 27, 2006 3:32 pm

Here comes the Cane Train. All aboard. Uh, I don't think I want to board this train.

At the 384 hour of the 2006 Apr 27 12Z GFS, I do see a couple of those ITCZ blobs look like they want to hop out and head northwest. And there is a particularly dense looking blob off the Nicaraguan coast.
