I would say if they where to make a cat6 185 to 200 mph...

Cat1 74 to 95 mph=21 mph
Cat2 96 to 110 mph=19 mph
So cat3 111 mph to 130 mph=19 mph
cat4 131 to 155 mph=21 mph
Cat5 can be from 156 to 184 mph=28 mph...Ivan,Katrina,Rita,Hugo,Andrew.
Cat6 185 mph to 200 mph...Storms like Wilma and Camille and Gilbert.


So it would have the largest area to cross to become one. But they would be rare.


That is my scale I'm thinking about.

There would be no point of Cat 6. You can barely have Cat 5 winds affect land.

Cat 1 - 21mph
Cat 2 - 14mph
Cat 3 - 19mph
