http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/tc_pages/tc_home.html

then click on 23p Monica on the left

then click on TMI, 85 ghz and then a little menu will pop up for tic marks

anything with a red border is intense but really that much red is pretty over-the-top

don't know how to reduce the URL size// ??

That is an estimate. Plus, there have been numerous storms have that been estimated to be lower than Tip's pressure.

Whatever the case is, this is a real nightmare storm. I'd say the sustained winds are at least 175 mph.

Anyone want to bet on how intense this thing will get? I think an eyewall replacement cycle is imminent, but some may disagree.

Perhaps a Rita-like intensity.

Check the MIMIC for others who look at this product regularly would you agree this is one of the most impressive signatures you've ever seen. It's so perfectly circular in that dense ring. Eye Temp : +19.4C from CIMSS.

We're long beyond Rita-like intensities.

That is the most impressive I have ever seen!!!

The storm looks more impressive then Katrina,Rita,Ivan, so yes this is one of the most impressive I'v seen for large eyes. I do think it stronger then the 140 knots. But that is just me.
