Just wondering how many people are into it

me, I have about 7500, 4500 online and 3000 on my hardrive/laptop, from Connie to Zeta.

About 700 of Katrina, 800 of Frances, 500 of Ivan, 500 of Charley, 400 of Floyd, 500 of Isabel, 250 of Dennis, 100 of Rita, 300 of Wilma, 250 of Emily, 125 of Lili, 50 of Andrew, 50 of Hugo, 100 of Jeanne, 150 of Gaston, 40 of Opal, 60 of Mitch, 100 of Georges, 70 of Isidore and so on.

I add anywhere from 5-50 pictures a day.

I have may be 2-4 satellite pictures saved on my computer. I tend not to save old images because it is so easy to re-find them online anyway.

Ditto here too. Plus, I get myself too confused naming them. It's much easier for me to just get online and find what I want.

IMO I'm too lazy to go back online and look for it since I have to search for them.

Some of my folders I haven't looked at for a long time, always surprises me when I go back. You've got to see the look on my face as I scream obligatory words about how beautiful that storm looks!!

36,765+ on this computer, probably another 5,000 backed up to DVD. I used to manually download them, recently I figured out how to automate the process, but only one image at a time. My big collections are Atlantic Water Vapor (ATWVxxxxxxxxx.gif) for seasonal & year-long animations and full Earth GOES from the big archive going back to 1983. GOES 5, 6, 12, etc. I'm still collecting these. My goal is to have pretty much all good Infrared images of the Western Hemisphere all the way back to '83. Then I'm going to try to clean up the scratchy ones, weed out the ones with too much data loss, and do something with it besides just a no-delay time-lapse slideshow. Perhaps make a video of it. It's funny though how back in 83' & '84 the Earth appears to bounce when animating the archive.

I had a big collection of the 2005 storms until my computer crashed.
Now I have a small collection of some storms from 2002-2004 with some newer 2005's that I have recollected within the past few months.
