we are getting to the point now where it would not be unheard of to see an early season storm form. Let's hope things hold off until June though.

Seems like yesterday I was standing at the end of the pier in Pensacola Beach getting smacked in the face with waves while Arlene was making landfall.I can't believe it's almost been a year since then.

Well, I can only speak for MOST folks in this area, and we are NOT looking forward to the season a whit! While I know there's no necessary link with how warm it's been to occurance of hurricanes, the levels of heat already in the area are making folks a little more anxious as the season nears.

You can say that again A2K. With highs in the 90's each day, that's all I hear now...people worried about this coming hurricane season. I don't think I ever felt the "fear in the air" like I do this year.

I think many people believe that June 1 is just an arbitrary date and a tropical storm or hurricane could occur before then.
