thank goodness more mets are on staff, last year everyone was working insane hours. I also think they do a wonderful job trying to protect everyones lives. :) :)

correction, John Cangialosi USED to do forecasts with me. Sinc he left for NHC, for obvious reasons, he cannot issue forecasts with me any longer (cannot have NOAA personnel writing forecasts contrary to the official)

Sounds like a bogus rumor to me. He isn't that old.. early 50s?

Funny you mentioned that. Blakes website was one of the first. if not the first, weather site I visited when I was a newbie on the internet many years ago. I believe it was called Eric Blakes Tropical Weather Page if I remember correctly. Also Hugh Cobb was a met at NWS Wakefield VA (the office that serves my area) for a few years.

I 100% agree...one year too late in my opinion. He's always been one of the best at explaining his meteorological reasoning and he's been very cool with calling in to the shows etc.

Glad to see they are staffing up...they need all the help they can get.

Yes, definately a good thing to see the extra staff. Hopefully they won't be as busy as last year. Those guys were definately busy the majority of the time.

Greatone is a troll who was banned from storm2k a while back. Hes an annoying pest who gets his jollies out of aggravating others.
