I didnt think about that but maybe its posible water is warm forsure downthere.

My comptuer is working slow. But the upper low is moving west-southwestward. In which could dig into the caribbean. In which could form a surface trough over the caribbean. Which would lower surface heights. But there will very likely be way to much shear. So I would not expect it.

Hi Christy. After 2005, I think we're even more aware of anything that attempts to flare up and or form. I've been watching that flareup in the Bahamas also. Looks as though eastern Cuba and the northwest Caribbean could see some flareups of convection during the next few days. Looks like an upper low to me, but after last season, it's worth watching anything at anytime of year.

Tracking severe weather and tropical weather myself, I've been more aware of major events and tropical cyclone origins likewise. We can pray that '06 doesn't come close to rivaling '05.

that hurricane take up nearly 1/3 of the Western United states. It has the widest diameter of CDO of any tropical system on record

the boundry headed southward that is currently over central Florida i thikn is pushing this low southward and in a few hours will enter Cuba.

The water is definitely warm enough there. Problem is dry air aloft is encompassing the western Caribbean. While a weak low could form in this environment with flareups of thunderstorms possible, the odds of development are extremey slim.

But just talking about a feature in April proves that we're more aware of what's going on these days. I think a few years ago we had a tropical storm in the Atlantic in April.
