Another date has been added to the list of important dates prior to June 1 and that is the Governors Hurricane Conference from May 8-12 at FT Lauderdale,Fla.

The real countdown will occur on May 31 from early in the morning when the countdown will switch from UTC time to EDT time to then count the hours,minutes and seconds as midnight EDT gets closer that night.

Me too. You know, it's weird. People like storm chasers and hurricane enthusiasts love hurricane season, but they do so much damage to people's lives and property. Some of us make part of our livelihood off of diasters. So we have a sort of grim respect for, and fondness of, hurricanes in one way, but understand the pain they cause. This is probably a true love/hate relationship!
I wonder if the people who fly the MedFlight rescue helicopters and the trauma surgeons feel the same way? I mean, doctors in general. It's their job. Do they let themselves love their job? I'm sure most of them do. It's just a fact of life.
