Now remember...you can customize that radar to look however you wish. If you purchase, you'll get access to the owner's forum which anyone in there can help you...including me. There are TONS of different options. I also subscribe to Allisonhouse.com's data which gives the metar data along with storm reports, lightning strikes, hurricane plots, and more.

Sweet!!! I will be sure to contact you when I do buy it.

I see little, if any, rotation. Am I missing something? There may be some rotation, but it is very slight.

The system is sheared right now. It might have a slightly better chance if the shear relaxes, but it is rather doubtful.

Shear is 30KT to 40KT over the system... development chances are most likely very slight.

I'd say the chances are zero.

Actually, I think slight chances are there, if manages to fight off the shear and if the shearing environment relaxes. However, I agree that chances are slight at most.

A low level wind surge? Never heard of that before. Sounds like our friends at the NWS Miami are already preparing for "hurricane" terminology

Excellent. I cannot deal with this kind of weather. I hope the rest of the month, and May, stays warm and dry.

The clouds are from an area of disturbed weather off the southeast Florida coast.

Low level winds surge is the building of higher pressure into the area and acompanied by a surge of showers kind of a tiny front from the push of stronger winds into the region.

Boy would this be interesting if we were a little further along the way. Check out the little low on the southern end of the cold front. Pressures aren't that low except for just off the tip of Cuba where it's around 1007.8mb. There is a counterclockwise circulation at the surface too. Plus, check out that ENE 36mph wind just north of the Yucatan. At times it looks like showers try to form near the center, but they get sheared apart really quick.

Strong high pressure ridge and gradiant here... strong onshore flow at northeast to east-northeast at 20MPH to 25MPH. This is also providing lots of shear, preventing development.
