The Unisys site at http://www.weather.unisys.com has archeved storm data for all Basins going back some years but I'm afraid that you will have to add the season totals for the basins up to get the global total.

Thank you for that link, as I was about to post this same question. I am into tropical weather all around the world.

do a google search for it.
