Dr Gray's 2006 forecast
I read part of Dr Grays forecast. Can someone speculate on this in layman's terms is this going to be as busy as past years what areas are considered hot spots? I do realize that anyone living near the coast is at risk but there is usually specific areas that may be forecast to be at a higher risk. What are the factors that determined is forecast are we going to have warmer then normal SST's again? What about EL Nina is this going to be a factor?

I doubt that El Nino will be a factor if Gray is Forecasting 17 storms, 9 hurricanes, and 5 major hurricanes. Plus don't forget he also forecats that it is an 80% chance of the U.S coast getting hit. So I doubt there will be El Nino.

Oh you meant La Nina so let me rephase. Yes La Nina will be a factor but not for long. Probably La Nina will be gone before Agust.
