I'd be willing to donate again. This is a great place and I'd like to see it stay that way. :)

Hey gang!

Thanks again for bringing this up Downdraft. :D

We ARE going to do this with new 2006 Donation Avatars and one for donors for both 2005 and 2006.

I'm going to post an Announcement in multiple forums, but as an FYI, you can make your donation through the "Paypal" link on the Home page.

I have a question,
Last year I wanted to be a Storm 2K supporter but you had to be use a Paypal account to contribute. I prefer not to use Paypal as the one time I set up an account I started receiving all sorts of emails that wanted all sorts of personal information, people telling that they had been added to my email account etc. Which told me that paypal had no control over the people that can access it's records. I would like to contribute but is there another way. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Ken

We really appreciate the fact that you want to donate. We're in the process of getting a "snail mail" address for those that want to contribute that way. When we get that, we'll make a more formal announcement in the different forums about this.

I do use Paypal alot (ITunes, S2K, etc.), but THEY DO have a problem with scammers using their logo, etc. to e-mail people to get them to "re-enter" their personal information. The best thing to do is to ALWAYS go to the site, but NOT BY using the link provided in the e-mail and see if the "problem" they talking about truly exists. I always forward Paypal those e-mails as well to their customer service departments.

i agree Stephanie. forward the e-mail to spoof@paypal.com .. ebay has one also spoof@ebay.com i believe

but like you said they usually write back and say that they will never send you an e-mail to that effect.

edited b/c link to paypal e-mail included the word e-bay :D

I appreciate the response, but I think I will wait for the snail mail to be set up. My biggest fear is that I may not realize in time what I or my darling 14 year old daughter may do, so I just want to keep it simple at this point.
Thanks again for the response,
Ken
